21 States in 12 Months

In our first year on the road.

In August of 2015, after we had returned to the Gila Valley in Arizona, the boys counted them up and let us know that we have visited 21 states in 12 months. In our first year on the road we have gone from Texas to Arizona to Florida (by way of Texas), back to Texas, back to Arizona, to Texas, Illinois, and then back to Arizona. We have always had a destination we needed to get to, so the leisurely jaunts or trips, like hey let’s go here or there, have not yet happened. But they will in time.

We have not taken the RV to all 21 states. I think Indiana was the only one we didn’t. We visited Indianapolis while we were in Illinois. All the rest, though, we did have the RV with us. Now, we didn’t stay in all the states. Some of them we just passed through. But we did stay in most of them.

Of course, we had a lot of adventures along the way. Much to talk about in subsequent posts.
